Cisadon Trail Run

20,9 KM

Last week i spent my weekend in Cisadon, finally after 9 months i came back to the "playground" and it's always good to be back on the trail. Cisadon is located near Puncak, about 60km from Jakarta. There are two ways to go to Cisadon. First one is Puncak and the second one through Sentul. At that moment, we decided to go through Sentul because we won't stuck on the traffic in Puncak.

We drove about 1 hour from Jakarta to Jungle land. After we changed clothes and parked the car we were ready to go to Cisadon. We never went there before so we didn't know about routes and how long to get there, just ran!

First route was from the jungle land to Pondok Pemburu, we went through Gunung Pancar with slow pace, my heart was beating so fast, i looked up at my watch and it was 190bpm. After we hit the road we would start to run the trail, but before that we had to turn right to the alley on the Village. After that we had to go uphill for 45 minutes until we found a farmer house. We took a rest for a while and then we still follow the path till Pondok Pemburu. Overall those routes are runnable. We can run fast, but beware because at some spots you will find some holes. It would be horrible if your foot go into the holes.

when you tired just walk on

Farmer house

We took a rest at the farmer house and had a glass of tea. After that we continued to Cisadon and then after 4 hours we arrived there, a small village surrounded by hills. It was so cold when we arrived there. There are 10-15 houses around the village. Many of the villagers are coffee farmers so when we were in Cisadon, we saw many coffee plantation and they were drying out the coffee.

Cisadon
We headed back to Jungle land through Curug Leuwi Hejo. There are no uphills on this track just all downhill. After 1 hour downhill from Cisadon we arrived at Leuwi Hejo, it was so crowded over there. We met moto trail on this route so we had to step aside to let them go on a couple of times. My watch showed 19km, it means our total distances from Jungle land to Leuwi Hejo. Looking at the distance, we were thinking about the Half Marathon and thought about giving another 2 more kilometers. Due to the leg issues, we had to hitchhike an angkot and they kindly gave us a ride for free, how lucky we were!
